Ok, so I didn't really have many ideas today for a blog. My original blog was going to be about different console platforms and the stereotypes surrounding these differences, however my friend Sam Davies (Arsehole) Stole ANOTHER blog from me. My god, stealing all my ideas, but not really. Anyway, it's a scary coincidence how great minds think alike. I guess this will be going on at games and a little talk about TV.... Yes. Tv.
Ok so to start, I wanted to get it off my chest. GAME HANDICAPS!!!! FUCK OFF!. Ok, now that's out the way...... No it isn't, it's FAR from out the way. Ok, so I was talking with my good friend today about how my girlfriend beat me on Guitar Hero World Tour and she was ECSTATIC! Now, before you go laughing in my face, telling me I suck because I got beat by a girl, let me just shock you. I was on the Hard difficulty setting, and she was on the Medium difficulty setting. Now, the developers of Guitar Hero are Activision, as you all know. Now, Activision shot into the spotlight with Guitar Hero and Call of Duty. This is no surprise because, although you may not think, these 2 games are VERY similar in terms of multiplayer. I hear you saying, "Fuck off, they are completely different!" No, they are both EXTREMELY easy for shit people, to come in and win or succeed in some way shape or form. Take Guitar Hero, if somebody goes on Easy difficulty and somebody else goes on Expert (No, he can't 100% every song, that's kind of impossible), Anyway, who wins the battle in a Face off? The expert guy or the Easy guy? You would think the expert guy due to the fact he is on a higher difficulty with 10x more notes than the guy on easy, thus meaning more points right? WRONG. The person on easy gets like 10x more points per note than the person on Expert. Now you're thinking, well that's only fair because otherwise the guy on expert would be miles in the lead.... That's how if bloody should be. If he is more talented than the other person, why should he struggle to win when there is clearly a skill difference? Oh, because it's Activison.
Same with Call of Duty. Take Call of Duty 4, any fucko could come in with an M16 and get a kill every now and again so as not to end 0-76, instead they end 9 - 76. Thus, they feel slightly satisfied in the fact they got a bit of kills and EXP, also, they can get less deaths if they hide in several corners and piss people off. They get less deaths, but they stay at a low rank for an insane amount of time. This way, they can piss you off by ending your killing streak as you're trying to run around, get kills, earn EXP and rank up while they are stupidly hidden in a corner just being all negative and waiting to end your streak. Thus they are happy with 2 kills. Ahh, feels good to get it all off my chest you know?
To sum up those 2 paragraphs, Activision, why the HELL do you make your games so damn handicapped? < Rheotorical..... Although it would be cool if they answered.... I wish game developers would stop making games easy for newcomers. Games should be about skill, they always have been and always should be. But oh no wait, Microsoft say the Xbox isn't a gaming console strictly now? It's a family social experience? Are you fucking kidding me? Bring on the PS3, seriously. Fuck PS Move, I couldn't give a balls, anything is better than seeing a Xbox 360 in every living room with a family smiling away stroking their virtual FUCKING PONY! Why oh why did Xbox betray me.... WHY!?
Anyway, I will leave my talk about TV for another day, because my oh my this is quite a long blog already and I wouldn't want to bore my....... "millions" of fans........ *sigh*.
Anyway, Ima head out and kill some nano suit wearing bastards on Crysis 2 MP demo,
Only on Xbox 360,
which is FREAKING AWESOME!......
Ok Xbox, you win this time......
