A rant about Emblems (4th Blog)

Ok, so I have a feeling this blog will be quite short but this is something I just had to get off my chest...... Call of Duty Black Ops Emblems. Not even Call of Duty Black ops per say, but any game that allows you to create logos or emblems.

Now, everytime I get the opportunity to create my own logo or emblem on a game, I JUMP on that opportunity. Myself, I love seeing what I can come up with given the tools the game gives you. Granted, Halo 3 and Halo Reach didn't give you that many options. I can't even remember my Emblem on Halo Reach if I am honest. When Call of Duty Black ops emblem creator came around, I loved the idea. I could not wait for the game to release and the added bonus of making your own emblem is bloody genius. I love it.

I had fears that leading up to the games release people would have a Penis's as their emblems, but I had faith in Activision and Treyarch to make this impossible. However, I was mistaken and my faith was crushed. In actual fact, it seems to me that they wanted people to make these stupid emblems. They have preset pictures of a cucumber, rocket ship, Cherries (AKA Testicles) and many more that look similar to a man's member. Then I thought to myself, well, they are innocent enough right? I mean, surely people want to have a cool emblem that defines them and seperates them from the rest? Well, I was right about that in a way.

It seems like 80% of the Black ops community on Xbox 360 have a massive penis as their emblem. Another 10% have a penis entering some sort of hole that I assume is supposed to be a woman's hole or something. I don't know. Guess I am not cool enough to know. Anyway, this in a way just defines these people and to me, all it tells me is the guy is a HUGE DICK!, Not "HAS" a huge dick, but IS a huge dick. WHY? That is my only question, why the hell would you want a massive penis as your emblem? When did it become cool to make a dick as a picture? Do these people sit in school all day with their dick treasure chest (Stolen from Superbad) and have like loads of different dick pictures and variations of dicks? I don't get it.

Do they feel a sense of achievement once they have finished their dick emblem? Seriously. What are they thinking while making it. "Yeah this is going to be funny, a dick as my emblem on my gun hahah no one will have done this." They must notice that EVERYONE has done it? And what do they think when they see other people with the same thing? "Ahh that guy is awesome look at his emblem!" It completely baffles me, it really does.

Myself, I like to come up with new innovative emblems. Ones I have never seen before. Usually, I will be playing and an Idea will pop into my head, and then I will try and work on an emblem for that idea. Sometimes I will see somebodies emblem that is pretty good, then I will get inspiration from that, that will remind me of something else and then I will go off and try my hardest to make a good emblem from the tools the game gives you. I like the idea of having a unique emblem that nobody else has. One that you know yourself, you made from an idea. People may have a similar emblem because they had the idea too, but 9 times out of 10 it will NEVER be EXACTLY like yours. Thus making you unique.

Which brings me on to my final point. How can you happily go to YouTube or somewhere like that, search in "Call of Duty Black Ops Emblem" and then copy one from a tutorial on there? Then happily keep it? I don't get it. Because you must know you have the same emblem as thousands of other people, so it just gets boring really fast and you don't stand out from anyone. Just like the AK74-u, the same thing over and over again just gets boring. No sense of achievement could possible be had from copying a step by step guide on making somebody else's emblem.....

To sum up, if you copied your emblem off YouTube, you got a problem. For those of you that have made your own unique ones from scratch, please link me to a picture of them or let me know and I will look on your playercard and rate your emblem. If possible, could you rate my emblems that I have made, and my current one? Thanks.

Third Blog :O I have gone crazy!

Ok, so I didn't really have many ideas today for a blog. My original blog was going to be about different console platforms and the stereotypes surrounding these differences, however my friend Sam Davies (Arsehole) Stole ANOTHER blog from me. My god, stealing all my ideas, but not really. Anyway, it's a scary coincidence how great minds think alike. I guess this will be going on at games and a little talk about TV.... Yes. Tv.

Ok so to start, I wanted to get it off my chest. GAME HANDICAPS!!!! FUCK OFF!. Ok, now that's out the way...... No it isn't, it's FAR from out the way. Ok, so I was talking with my good friend today about how my girlfriend beat me on Guitar Hero World Tour and she was ECSTATIC! Now, before you go laughing in my face, telling me I suck because I got beat by a girl, let me just shock you. I was on the Hard difficulty setting, and she was on the Medium difficulty setting. Now, the developers of Guitar Hero are Activision, as you all know. Now, Activision shot into the spotlight with Guitar Hero and Call of Duty. This is no surprise because, although you may not think, these 2 games are VERY similar in terms of multiplayer. I hear you saying, "Fuck off, they are completely different!" No, they are both EXTREMELY easy for shit people, to come in and win or succeed in some way shape or form. Take Guitar Hero, if somebody goes on Easy difficulty and somebody else goes on Expert (No, he can't 100% every song, that's kind of impossible), Anyway, who wins the battle in a Face off? The expert guy or the Easy guy? You would think the expert guy due to the fact he is on a higher difficulty with 10x more notes than the guy on easy, thus meaning more points right? WRONG. The person on easy gets like 10x more points per note than the person on Expert. Now you're thinking, well that's only fair because otherwise the guy on expert would be miles in the lead.... That's how if bloody should be. If he is more talented than the other person, why should he struggle to win when there is clearly a skill difference? Oh, because it's Activison.

Same with Call of Duty. Take Call of Duty 4, any fucko could come in with an M16 and get a kill every now and again so as not to end 0-76, instead they end 9 - 76. Thus, they feel slightly satisfied in the fact they got a bit of kills and EXP, also, they can get less deaths if they hide in several corners and piss people off. They get less deaths, but they stay at a low rank for an insane amount of time. This way, they can piss you off by ending your killing streak as you're trying to run around, get kills, earn EXP and rank up while they are stupidly hidden in a corner just being all negative and waiting to end your streak. Thus they are happy with 2 kills. Ahh, feels good to get it all off my chest you know?

To sum up those 2 paragraphs, Activision, why the HELL do you make your games so damn handicapped? < Rheotorical..... Although it would be cool if they answered.... I wish game developers would stop making games easy for newcomers. Games should be about skill, they always have been and always should be. But oh no wait, Microsoft say the Xbox isn't a gaming console strictly now? It's a family social experience? Are you fucking kidding me? Bring on the PS3, seriously. Fuck PS Move, I couldn't give a balls, anything is better than seeing a Xbox 360 in every living room with a family smiling away stroking their virtual FUCKING PONY! Why oh why did Xbox betray me.... WHY!?

Anyway, I will leave my talk about TV for another day, because my oh my this is quite a long blog already and I wouldn't want to bore my....... "millions" of fans........ *sigh*.

Anyway, Ima head out and kill some nano suit wearing bastards on Crysis 2 MP demo,
Only on Xbox 360,
which is FREAKING AWESOME!......
Ok Xbox, you win this time......

Second Blog :O

Ok, so today I don't really have anything that has come to mind to piss me off. Then again, I have yet to play a Call of Duty game, so fingers crossed.... Anyway, I just thought I would write today about people's fear of trying new things. In this instance, I am speaking about music. There are a lot of people living in the dark about some not very known bands that are roaming round. I guess in this case I seem to be only reffering to metal music but it's amazing the amount of people who will shun metal music away and not even try getting into it. There are usually a couple of different reasons for this.

One reason is usually because they are a "cool" kid and they are terrified of their friends thinking any different of them and becoming less popular if they listen to something other than the crowd are listening to. This deludes people into thinking they have to listen to what everyone else is listening to because they fear they may be ridiculed for it.

Another reason is that they will moan and bitch about how there is no talent in the music I like (Metal), when there really is much talent in some of the music they listen to. At the end of the day, as my friend once said, music is an art form in itself and I am one to admit when a piece of music is good no matter what the genre. I like all kinds of music.

I used to be a self centred chav with one taste in music and that was rap. My friend used to listen to metal music and used to constantly mock him for it and tell him "it's just screaming it's crap". Over the past couple of years my eyes were opened to a HUGE library of music hidden within the Metal genre, and I have even showed my friend a couple of bands he may not of heard before. There is probably still so many undiscovered talent out there that not many people appreciate. What I have noticed is that whatever song is played numnerous times to somebody, no matter what the genre, it will catch on and stick in their head.

If you wanted to get into metal music at all and maybe broaden your tastes, there are a couple of ways that helped me. One was the Guitar Hero series. Aside from a lot of indie songs and not very heavy songs there are al lot of good heavy songs on those games and they really open your eyes to the talent that guitarists posess in some bands. Thus, when you play the song and enjoy yourself, you end up liking the song, like me. Then you go on to research the band and find more songs by them.

Also, a good one for me was Spotify, I simply searched in "Metal" and found a whole range of different songs. There are many sub-genres in metal like power metal, battle metal, death metal, melodic metal, nu metal and many more. It's insane how many times I come accross a band I have never heard before, and enjoy their songs.

Another way, for me, was Last FM on the Xbox 360. Now this program is sweet. You search in a band and it gives you endless playlists of bands that are a similar style to the band you searched in. I have found so many new songs from Last FM and people always shun it out and say "I want to listen to what I search!!!", to these people I say, shut up.

You can also discover new songs by hearing it on a game soundtrack or on a movie soundtrack. For me, Burnout Paradise, introduced me to Killswitch Engage. Halo 2 introduced me to Breaking Benjamin. Myself I see no point in liking songs just because other people like them, which is what a lot of people like music for, and to me it seems like the wrong reason, and then these people instantly judge and ridicule people for having different tastes. That's lunacy. You don't pick on somebody because they like carrots and you don't. You don't insult somebody because you watch Eastenders and they watch Coronation street? It's all the same. Music is music and where there is talent it deserves to be appreciated. I find the mainstream music these days is getting boring and old. Same shit repeated over and over again with lazy song writers writing songs that mean nothing just to get rich and famous, and maybe show off some boobs on TV.

Anyway, I believe that is me done for the day. I guess my final words should be, don't judge people just because of different tastes that they have, they may be a hell of a nice person inside. Unless they give you a reason to perceive them as a bad person or something severe.

I gotta go take a leak.

First Blog :)

Ok, here is the thing. I have been thinking about doing a blog for a while and have had many people asking me to write blogs or suggesting that I should. Apparently I am a very satrical person and constantly angry and maybe letting off some steam in a blog every now and again may be what I need, so here goes.

First off I would like to start by saying I am not an angry person in terms of aggressive or violent. I don't tend to strike people for no good reason and I don't punch old people in the face because I think it's cool. I do it for other reasons..... No, all joking aside, I am not a "cool" guy. I was never very popular in school and to be honest, I didn't do very well in school. That being said, it was all my fault and I don't point fingers at anyone but myself, even then it's usually just 1 finger. As you could probably figure out, I didn't make it to sixth form in school and I never went to college. I am currently unemployed and probably play my Xbox 360 way too much. However the upside is that I know I am better at games I play than everybody I know, obviously aside from some exceptions. But, all I ever hear is "Get a life", "You play way too much". but what hits me first when I hear this is, hold on a second, you're on the same game, at the exact same time as me, getting angry at me because I won. No matter who you are you don't EVER play a game to lose, no one does, but why is it that more often than not everyone will instantly insult the person who beats them and never acknowledge them for the skill they have.

Every time I beat people on the game UFC Undisputed 2010 or if by a crazy stroke of lunacy I lose, no matter what I always send a message to the opponent thanking them for a good game and complimenting them and offering advice and strategy to improve their game. All I ever get back is insults. Every time. It makes me wonder, if you're that bad at a game and never win, and are constantly getting angry, why carry on playing it? :/ Makes no sense to me. As soon as people like this win by some stroke of craziness, it's instantly, "HAHAHAHA I AM BETTER THAN YOU, YOU SUCK!" However when you win, it becomes "YOU TAKE THIS GAME WAY TOO SERIOUSLY, GET A LIFE YOU VIRGIN!". So there is no winning for me. At the end of the day, no one can deny games are fun, whether you play for 2 hours a week or 30+, We all play them so why hate on somebody because they are better than you? Simple solution, get better. Some people pick up games faster than others. Simple.

Another point, why is Xbox LIVE full of the biggest egomaniacs in the world? It seems every game on Xbox LIVE attracts over egotistical chavs who will use the cheapest strategy to win. Let's review.

Call of Duty 4 - M16 Assault Rifle - One burst for a kill so it made it easy for shit people.
Call of Duty: World at War - MP40 W/Juggernaut - The most powerful SMG on the game and combined with juggernaut made you really hard to kill. As you can guess this got abused.
Modern Warfare 2 - M16, FAMAS, Rafficas, UMP45 - 'Nuff said. Oh, and quickscoping........ wow.
Call of Duty: Black Ops - AK74-U - Apparently been patched, to which I say BULLSHIT. Spammed and abused by everyone.
Smackdown vs RAW series: The cheapest and most hard to reverse moves on the game are abused 24/7 by the stupid ego maniacs on there. I sound like I always lose, I don't, in fact 9 times out of 10 I win, it just bores me that every game I play is full of the same shit over and over again.

In recent news, I have just now for the first time ever, been frozen on Smackdown vs RAW 2011, which I thought was impossible. Another SvR ruined, Well done THQ.

Ok, this blog was supposed to be started off by a rant of something that was on my mind, however, without realising my introduction has turned into just that. I think that is me done for the day. If anybody wishes to play some games some time, hit me up on Xbox LIVE. I am pretty sure anyone who reads this will be one of my friends who already has my gamertag but never the less, here it is anyway:

Have a nice day. :)
